Description

CHADDICK INSTITUTE FALL STUDY TRIP | Friday, October 14, 2016
Join our delegation to the Wisconsin capital to see remarkable urban planning initiatives underway! Delegates arrange their own travel to Madison on Thursday evening, October 13th, and then take part in a full day of visits and meetings on Friday, October 14th. Open to current students and recent alumni; others may attend by special arrangement. Full agenda to follow.

COST
$25 - Includes double-occupancy hotel room, breakfast and lunch (we will try to accommodate roommate requests - email chaddick@depaul.edu after purchasing your ticket).

$15 - Day trip only (does not include hotel or breakfast).

Tickets are refundable through Monday, October 10.

TRANSPORTATION
Delegates are responsible for arranging transportation to and from Madison. Van Galder bus service is available from Chicago Union Station or O'Hare Airport to Madison for $60 RT. We will arrange for transfers to/from the UW bus station.

Several delegates will be taking the 3 p.m. bus to arrive in Madison around 6:20 and having dinner. The 9 p.m. bus from Union Station may be a good option for those who have class on Thursday evening.

We are also happy to help facilitate carpools among those interested in driving!

ACCOMMODATIONS
Comfort Inn Madison Downtown
722 John Nolen Drive
Madison, WI

We will meet in the hotel lobby at 9 a.m. on Friday 10/14 and travel downtown for our day of visits. We will end shortly after 5 p.m. at the UW Student Union/bus station—in time for an evening bus back to Chicago.

Among those taking part in the visit will be professor Joe Schwieterman and possibly other SPS faculty as well. Some group members and faculty may stay in Madison for dinner on Friday, and catch a later bus. This trip is co-sponsored by the School of Public Service.
